INDOOR SIMULATION

Another growing category in golf is indoor simulation. Rapid growth however is constrained by the cost associated with the technology needed to track the flight of the golf ball. Launch monitors from brands like Flightscope and Trackman can run into the thousands, some more than $20,000.

But what if the golf ball itself could provide exactly the same data for a fraction of the cost of a launch monitor? Such a disruption could literally unlock an unprecedented level of demand for home simulators as well as another rapidly emerging retail concept knows as "Sim Bars". GENIUS could eliminate what is a retailers single biggest expense in terms of building out a simulator space and in the process drive more venues and more bays to open up around the world.

While this first iteration of GENIUS is not intended for use with clubs other than a putter, testing is already underway using irons and drivers and the results are positive.

Golf club "fitting" is a process of analyzing a golfer's shots with devices like a launch monitor and matching the golfer with a specific club that optimizes their result. Unfortunately, launch monitors don't work very well with putts or short shots with a wedge. So many of these clubs are purchased blind with no real data to support the selection of a specific brand or model. Until now.
